I WILL RECOGNIZE YOU

We have travelled the universe for centuries,
Sometimes together and sometimes apart.

We mourned the passing of the other,
hidden behind the sun of a distant galaxy.

We laughed together hanging on the tail of a comet
And we made love timidly after a nebula.

A thousand times we said goodbye and a thousand more we met,
And so many other times we passed each other without recognizing each other.

Times are getting shorter and evolution is coming to an end,
Maybe this is our last trip.
I'm here, sitting on this little planet
Waiting for the universe to decide.

I will recognize you, I remember your light, your fragrance,
And I remember your essence, which is also mine.

We can meet again in this plane,
or maybe it's a return trip, like the spheres
speeding across the galaxy,
and there together we'll play as always...

Let's see who gets home first."
